Xiaomi is launching Mi Band 2 it’s activity tracker for little close to $23. The device might be available in china from June 7. This is the third in series of Mi bands from Xiaomi. It has previously launched Mi Band and Mi Band pulse. The company say’s it has already sold more than 20 million activity trackers. Going by this figure the company becomes 2nd largest company to sell activity tracker. Only FitBit has sold more activity trackers than Mi Band.
The current Mi Band 2 comes with heart rate monitor, it counts your steps and also has a tiny display. It also displays current time, approximate distance traveled and the calorie burnt.
The device uses Bluetooth 4.0 to connect to your phone. The 2nd generation Bluetooth has faster connection and is more stable. The company claims that the battery will last up to 20 days. The water resistant device will have silicon bands that can be replaced. The bands comes in different colors.
